I have some Meeko's Moroccan seam agate in the tumbler - for a while now. This stuff definitely has the WOW factor. It's really beautiful with bright red banding and quartz windows on many pieces but boy does it take a long time to complete. Definitely reminds you of the old axioms "good things come to those that wait" or maybe "genius is nothing but a great aptitude for patience". Yeah, I like that one.
Six weeks in 60-90 grit. Then after 2 weeks at 120-150, then a week at 500 and still had to remove about 50% of them and go back to earlier stages. My "genius" obviously failed me at some point along this journey.
"Patience is the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting." I KNOW they're going to be gorgeous when I'm done waiting with my good attitude intact!
I feel your pain! This was one of the very first things Clay told me about tumbling when we first met... "here's where you're about to learn a WHOLE BUNCH of patience!!" Those seam agates are so worth it though, in the end. Good things come to those who wait, right?! 😊
